Abbey Farm Shop Produce

Welcome to Abbey Farm Shop

Fantastic local produce at the Abbey Farm Shop

Our farming heritage runs through our core values, and it’s important to us to work with local family businesses when sourcing produce for the shop. Supporting our community means offering honest, high-quality food made with the same care and pride we put into our own.

North Wales is home to some of the finest makers, growers, and producers, and we’re proud to bring their incredible work together under one roof for our guests and visitors to enjoy.

All these lovely suppliers have a heartwarming story to tell….

Since opening our campsite in 2021, we’ve often been asked, “Will you open a farm shop?” as we can see that more people want to know exactly where their food comes from, and we do too!

At first, we weren’t sure. Running a busy family farm and campsite leaves little time for anything else, and the investment felt like a big step. But over the past year, we’ve seen the challenges facing UK farmers grow, from changing government policies to supermarkets importing cheaper, lower-quality meat from abroad.
Instead of getting disheartened, we decided to do something positive. So, we’re proud to say that the Abbey Farm Shop is our answer.

Our beef, lamb and pork comes direct from us. Fully traceable, raised right here on our farm, so you always know exactly what you’re getting. You can even see for yourself!

The Red Tractor logo is a symbol of food you can trust. It guarantees that our meat has been farmed, transported, processed and packed to high standards, covering everything from animal welfare to environmental care and traceability.
When you see the Red Tractor mark, you know the food has been responsibly sourced from farm to fork.

Welsh Lamb and Welsh Beef’s unique heritage, character and reputation have been recognised with the coveted status of Protected Geographical Indication (PGI).
This means the meat must come from animals born, raised, and processed in Wales, ensuring full traceability and linking its unique quality and reputation to its specific Welsh origin, protecting it from imitation and guaranteeing consumers authentic, traditional Welsh products.

FAWL (Farm Assured Welsh Livestock) is a certification scheme for Welsh beef and lamb, owned by Welsh farmers and run by Welsh Lamb & Beef Producers (WLBP) to assure consumers of high standards in food safety, animal health & welfare, and environmental protection on farms

The recently opened farm shop is excellent selling all locally sourced and reasonably priced meat. There’s a good range of fresh seasonal vegetables, again, locally sourced. This is now our go to place for seasonal produce. Celiac made us really welcome.

Abbey Farm Shop

Since opening our campsite in 2021, we’ve often been asked, “Will you ever open a farm shop?”

We believe the UK farming industry is the best in the world, with leading animal welfare standards and quality you can trust. Our animals are grass-fed, well cared for, and raised to the highest standards, and we believe that should matter when it comes to the food you put on your family’s table.

When meat is imported from countries that don’t meet the same rigorous standards as we have here in the UK, there’s no real way of knowing what the animals have been fed or injected with, or how they’ve been treated.

More and more people want to know exactly where their food comes from, and we do too!

That’s why all of our meat is fully traceable, raised right here on our farm, so you always know exactly what you’re getting. You can even see for yourself!
